Who we are
ASO Ltd. SARL, Bonamoussadi, Douala, Cameroon. RCCM CM-DLA-02-2026-B13-00308. For any question about your data, write to privacy@asoltd.info.
This policy covers this website and the ASO Delivery applications: the customer app, the rider app, and the restaurant portal.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what an order actually needs.
- Your name, email address and phone number, when you create an account. The phone number matters because addresses in Douala are landmark based, so the last part of a delivery is usually a phone call.
- Your delivery address and the notes you add to an order.
- Your order history: what was ordered, from which restaurant, what it cost, and what happened to it.
- Payment references from our Mobile Money provider. We never see or store your Mobile Money PIN, and we do not store card numbers.
- Location, for riders only, and only while a rider is online and carrying an order, so a customer can see the delivery approaching. It is not collected when a rider is offline.
- A delivery photo, when a rider takes one at drop off, as evidence that a delivery happened.
- Identity documents, for riders and restaurant owners only, to verify who is delivering food and who is selling it.
- A push notification token, if you allow notifications, so we can tell you an order is on its way.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not build profiles for anyone else.
Who sees what
Sharing is scoped to what each person needs to complete your order, and it ends when the order does.
- The restaurant sees your order, your delivery address, and your notes.
- Your rider sees your name, your phone number and your address only while carrying your order. Both disappear from their app once the delivery is complete or cancelled.
- You see your rider's name and number over the same window, and no longer.
- The delivery photo is visible to the restaurant that sold the order and to ASO staff handling a dispute. It is stored privately and served only through short lived links. It is not public and not shown to other customers.
Where your data lives
Data is stored with Supabase and our application hosting provider, on servers outside Cameroon, encrypted in transit over HTTPS and encrypted at rest. Mobile Money collection is handled by CamPay, our payment provider, under their own terms.
How long we keep it
Account details are kept while your account exists. Order and payment records are kept for seven years after the order, because tax and accounting rules require it. Rider location points are kept only for the life of the delivery. Delivery photos are kept for one year, then deleted.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app, under Help. Your name and phone number are removed and your login is destroyed immediately.
Past orders are kept as financial records, with your personal details removed, because other people were paid for those deliveries and we are required to keep the accounts. If a refund is still being processed we will ask you to let it complete first, so that we are not left owing money to an account we can no longer identify.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics provider, Plausible, is cookieless and does not follow you between sites or build a profile of you.
The site stores one thing in your browser: whether you chose English or French, so the page opens in the language you picked. It is kept on your own device, it is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
The ASO Delivery apps do not use cookies. They store your sign in token and your language choice on the device itself, and deleting the app removes both.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@asoltd.info and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
ASO Delivery is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
